It keeps bogging out anywhere above half throttle almost acting like a rev limiter. If your ATV is sputtering and you couldn’t find a gas leak and a carburetor tune up wasn’t the answer, then you may have a vacuum leak somewhere on your carburetor. It also backfires. While ATVs are generally reliable vehicles, they do require some periodical maintenance and repair. At higher rpms it sputters like it is hitting the rev limiter only you are not even close to it. If the valve fails, the airflow will be off, causing an operating condition that is too rich or lean, which, you guessed it, could lead to engine misfire, amongst other things.
